September 4th at Olympic Park Square, Seoul, the leaders of TKD gathered together at the same place. The 4 TKD moguls are: In Cheon Yoo, head of Cultural Sports Tourism, Jung Won Cho, the person in charge for Olympic and domestic (Korea) TKD teams, Jun Pyo Hong, leader of Korean TKD Association, and last but not least Dae Soon Lee, the president of TKD Development Foundation. Among these four men, Kukiwon director Woon Gyu Um was supposed to be included, but could not attend because the letter of resignation he submitted.

All four moguls attended and participated during the TKD Day to celebrate the heritage of TKD, but each of these men had distinct characteristic differences along with contrasting visions for the future of TKD. MOOKAS will now analyze each of these 4 tycoons.

Previously an actor, definitely different..In Cheon Yoo Chief


In Cheon Yoo Chief's congratulatory speech was as clean as his appearance. Of course he included a message of what the Cultural Sports Tourism can offer TKD. His speech was a bit long, but his acting background allowed him to maintain his voice in a calm manner, at the same time, project his voice confidently when emphasizing a point.

In Cheon Yoo Chief began his speech focusing on the history, hard work, and dedication of TKD. He continued by stating, "For the sake of TKD, I will take a bit of time talking about TKD". His last remark shined with the help of his previous acting experience.

He stated, "With opportunities like TKD Day, TKD will rise. To all my TKD persons, I am very proud of TKD. And I love TKD." Yoo was not originally affiliated with TKD(former rugby player in high school). Yet he stated he loves TKD and he will work hard for TKD. There is a chance that his messages were said for the sole purpose of bettering his speech.

WTF Chief Jung Won Cho, fatigued after Beijing Olympics



After succeeding In Cheon Yoo as WTF Chief, Jung Won Cho started off by saying, "I want to thank each government official who provided our TKD persons with hope and strength". Even with this statement, one can not disregard his fatigued voice and appearance.

Cho called attention to the success the Korean Olympic Team had at the Beijing Olympic. Although he made some great accomplishments during the Beijing Olympic, but he seemed stressed due to the judging controversies and also the attack on the referee issue. Indeed his physical condition could have been the cause, but one can't deny the complicating problems WTF had to deal with before and after the Olympic.
